A new chemiluminescence (CL) in the (NH4)2Ce(NO3)2-C6H6-H2O system was discovered. The emission of the Ce3+* ion as a CL emitter has been registered for the first time. Other emitters of this CL are singlet oxygen 1O2 and its dimer (1O2)2. The CL emitters are generated in reaction of Ce4+ with H2O and H2O2, respectively. The redox CL are induced by the active surface of the (NH4)2Ce(NO3)2 crystals.
