Optical properties of a binuclear neodymium complex in phosphorus oxychloride for liquid laser

First, the binuclear Nd(CF3COO)3·(Ph3PO)2 (Ph3PO: triphenylphosphine oxide) single-crystal was grown and its molecular structure presented.

Second, based on Judd–Ofelt theory and crystal structure, the effects of luminescent centers’ crystal field and bond valance properties on materials’ optical properties were analyzed in detail.

Third, the emission cross-section of 4F3/2 → 4I11/2 fluorescence transition of the complex was 2.78 × 10−20 cm2.
