Cadmium (Cd) is a potent metalloestrogen. Human thyroid cancer cells have endogenous GPER. Cd induces proliferation, invasion and migration of human thyroid cancer cells. GPER/ERK&AKT/NF-κB pathway is involved in these induction effects of Cd.
