Microencapsulation of oxalic acid (OA) via coacervation induced by polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS) for the sustained release performance

The use of acrylonitrile butadiene styrene as shell material for microencapsulation was economical. The coacervation of acrylonitrile butadiene styrene was firstly induced by polydimethylsiloxane for microencapsulation. The OA/ABS microcapsules could maintain the apparent viscosity of in-situ heat system above 100 mP ∙ s for 90 min. Combination of X-ray diffraction analysis and polarizing microscope was firstly used to verify the core-shell structure.
