Third order and fourth order Grüneisen parameters have been obtained for the lower and core of the earth. The reciprocal gamma equation is found to be consistent with the Stacey reciprocal K-primed equation of state. The basic principles of calculus have been used to obtain expressions for higher order derivatives of Grüneisen parameter in terms of pressure derivatives of bulk modulus.
