18).The fumonisins were derivatized with
o-phthaldialdehyde
andN-acetyl-
L-cysteine in an in-line reaction coil.Ion pair liquid chromatographywith fluorescence detection is used for the separation
and detection.Absolute recoveries offumonisins ranged from 54 to 110% at 0.04
and 0.08
g/g. Thedetection limit of this method is 20ng. This procedure is relatively simple
and provides a screeningmethod for fumonisins in corn
