An efficient and sp³ C-H bond oxidation of sulfonamides with PhI(OAc)₂/I₂ under metal-free conditions hasbeen reported. The reaction provides a useful route topyrrolidines, N-sulfonylimines, and various sulfonamidederivatives. The potential of this reaction system can beevaluated by its mild condition and simple process.
