A new robotics system for automated reaction screening andoptimization as well as fast analytical characterization isdescribed. The system consists of a parallel synthesis robotcapable of performing 12 reactions in parallel and a secondrobot for analytical sample work-up and dilution. Four HPLCdevices enable a high analytical throughput. The successfulapplication of this new system to several examples of automatedprocess optimization is presented.
