In this paper, an empirical dependence of the second virial coefficients is derived from equations ofstate. The second virial coefficient B2 is found to be a linear function of 1/T1+, where T is the temperatureand is a constant and has different value for different substances. Excellent experimental supports to thisrelationship are reported for nonpolar fluids, polar fluids, heavy globular molecule fluids, and quantum fluidHe-4.
