A novel, convenient, and efficient method has been developed for selective synthesis of spirocycle, polycycle, and di- and tetrahydronaphthalene systems from aryl-substituted propargylic alcohols by FeCl₃- or TsOH-catalyzed multiple activations of unsaturated C−C bonds and C−H bonds.
