文摘
The effect of FeS content on the Pb–Sb separation of PbS–Sb2S3–FeS ternary system under water vapor atmosphere has been presented in this paper. The reaction mechanism between PbS–Sb2S3–FeS system and steam has been discussed. It was found that an effective separation of Pb–Sb could be obtained when the FeS content of the sample was in the range of 5–7 %, while the Pb–Sb separation was inhibited when the FeS content was greater than 10 %. The XRD results indicated that the calcine was composed of PbS, Fe3O4, FePb4Sb6S14, Pb5Sb4S11 and FeSb2O4. The volatilization of Sb2S3 could be improved with the rising of the sample’s melting point caused by the addition of FeS up to 7 %. With the addition of FeS up to 7 %, the volatilization of Sb2S3 could be improved by rising the melting point of the samples. However, FeS might be associated with Sb2S3 and PbS to form FePb4Sb6S14, Pb5Sb4S11 or oxidized into FeSb2O4 by water vapor if the content of FeS was too high (≥10 %). The complex sulfides and oxide made the volatilization of Sb2S3 or Sb2O3 difficult and resulted in an inferior Pb–Sb separation.
