According to the rate equations, we test the stability of two mutual injection locked fiber lasers, and find that the system can be stably phase-locked with a certain mutual coupling coefficient and a certain phase difference restricted by prescribed conditions. The far field patterns of the interference fringes obtained by coherent beam combining of the two stably phase-locked lasers have been simulated. The desired patterns of the interference fringes can be obtained by adjusting some relevant parameters. Keywords Coherent beam combining Mutual injection locking Phase difference
