In this work, we consider the influence of the water resources on the oasis vegetation, and establish oasis vegetation degradation model with stage structure and impulsive irrigation in arid area. We prove that all solutions of (2.1) are uniformly ultimately bounded, and prove the oasis vegetation-extinction periodic solution is globally attractive. The condition for permanence of system (2.2) is also obtained. It is concluded that the approach of impulsive irrigation provides reliable tactic basis for preventing the oasis vegetation from degradation while the rainfall decreases in arid area.KeywordsImpulsive irrigationStage structureOasis vegetation degradationOasis vegetation-extinctionPermanence
