BackgroundAn increasing number of employees retires early due to mental health problems (e. g., burn out). At the same time the working ability of the employees declines with increasing age. Considering these two points in the context of demographic change, work place health promotion gains importance. A high self-efficacy awareness is considered a protective factor for the development of burn out. Thus, interventions designed to increase self-efficacy and work ability could prove to be eligible interventions for burn-out prevention.
