The donor-acceptor conjugated copolymer poly(3,5-didodecyl-4-phenylphospholo[3,2-b:4,5-b′]dithiophene 4-oxide-1,2-di(2,2′-bithiophen-5-yl)ethene (PDDTP-TVT), comprised of dithienophosphole (DTP) as the acceptor unit and thienylenevinylene (TVT) as the donor unit, was synthesized and characterized to investigate the relationship between the molecular structure of the donor-acceptor (D-A) pair and the performance of organic fieldeffect transistors (OFETs) containing this copolymer. The synthesized polymer exhibited good solubility in organic solvents and sufficient thermal stability. We characterized the relationship between its molecular structure, film morphology, and OFET device performances. PDDTP-TVT in a film annealed at 150 °C yielded a field-effect mobility value of 1.3×10–3 cm2/Vs.
