摘要
Cristobalite is a common constituent in bentonitic clays. It can be detected by the x-ray powder method. It probably has no detrimental influence in such cases where the clay is used for fuller's earth. The origin of the cristobalite is puzzling, and no hypothesis that can be advanced is satisfactory.
