The purpose of this project was to locate a potential funding source and write a grant to secure funding for a program that provides safety and security, treatment and psychological support in order to reinstate the well-being of Latina survivors of human trafficking in Los Angeles County. This project will be implemented by a Master in Social Work (MSW), who will use intensive case management along with trauma-specific therapy to assist the survivors of trafficking towards self-sufficiency and a healthy life. The services provided in this program will help clients use self-determination to guide them through the transition from victim to survivor. After an extensive search of funding sources, Oak Foundation was selected for their commitment to issues affecting women and children. The actual submission and/or funding of this grant was not a requirement for the successful completion of this project.
