摘要
Solar powered floating wireless sensor networks,e.g.,SPF - WSN,unit is built to monitor water quality while floating on water surface and harvesting solar energy to power its operation.SPF - WSN can operate in a remote lake site to cover water surfaces otherwise would not be possible.The design of this unit consists of 3 key elements:the dual RF module for wireless communications,the solar energy collection unit,and the microprocessor unit with our customer designed power management algorithm.Entro - lator for entropy based information and power management.The unit is built and experiments are conducted.It demonstrates the feasibility of the proposed SPF - WSN technique.
