Synthesis of ZSM-5 with controlled SiO_2/Al_2O_3 ratio and their applications in butene catalytic cracking

Cracking of C_4 hydrocarbons is an attractive technology for enhancing the production of propylene.ZSM-5 zeolite is mainly used as the active component in this process.The performance and the properties of the zeolite materials need to be studied in detail.In this presentation,ZSM-5 zeolites with controlled SiO_2/Al_2O_3 ratio varied in a fairly high span were prepared and characterized.Following that,the fixed bed catalysts were fabricated and evaluated in the catalytic cracking reaction of 1-butene.Their cracking performances were studied.A possible mechanism was proposed based on the data of reaction.Detailed studies will be presented in the conference.
