Being affected by season, climate and bottom shape, sound field of shallow water significantly vary with space and time. The environment parameters are always uncertain due to insufficient space-time sampling. The performance of Matched-Field Processing degraded dramatically when there exists environment parameters mismatch. In this paper, effect of environment parameters mismatch to matched-field processing in typical shallow water is anglicized, and explanations are given from normal-mode theory standpoint.
