诗居城市色彩形象识别设计研究

摘要
城市色彩在城市形象的塑造过程中有着不可替代的作用。在全球化和城市化的趋势下,城市色彩是表现城市地域文化、彰显城市精神、凸显城市个性的重要手段。目前,我国的城市色彩一方面呈现出千城一色、地域性丧失的倾向;一方面又表现为色彩污染、杂乱无章的状态。因此,城市色彩是城市化进程中一个迫切需要解决的战略问题,直接关系到人居环境的改善及城市化终极目标的实现---诗意的栖居。对于城市色彩这个亟待解决的问题,当前,缺乏理性的思考及系统性的解决办法。
     城市具有很强的地域性与文化性。由于科学的崛起,经济人的诞生,城市逐渐走上以物质文明为单一向度来衡量社会进步的斜路。目前,社会财富较以往已有很大提高,由于技术经济最根本的特征是促逼、摆置及计算,导致城市主体无时不刻不因为虚名和私利的欲望而产生判断和否定,因而倍感身份丧失,天性泯灭,甚至精神失落,心灵没有丝毫的宁静,人们希望从物质环境的外在压力下解脱出来,过上一种摆脱“必需后”的相对自由的生活,以达至理想化的在存状态,体悟到诗意的栖居。
     理想化的生存状态就是城市主体能够实现自我的存在。只有在存在状态下,城市主体才可能找回自我,并使其天性中的良善与纯真在生命中得以显现。因此,城市色彩设计的目的就是实现对城市主体的人文关怀,以使城市主体能够诗意般的栖居在大地上,复归于人天性的本真。
     本文通过对城市主体生存现状与存在状态特征的比较,推导出“诗意的栖居”是城市发展的终极目标。进而通过对诗意的栖居(即艺术化生存)状态审美感受的分析,确立了城市主体的心灵为城市色彩研究的本体。
     本研究针对城市形象识别系统进行了理论的创新,从哲学的高度对城市色彩形象的识别概念进行了深入挖掘,对形象识别的特征、生成条件及生成方式等进行了系统的研究。一座城市的历史文化结构中有其不变的人格精神(即文化原型),其中关于良善和纯真的理念,即是塑造独特城市色彩的关键。理想的城市色彩是使城市主体达至其天性中的良善或纯真精神理念的显现(识别)的路径之一,因此,城市色彩形象识别设计的原理即是城市主体的文化原型(集体无意识的精神理念)与城市色彩所形成的感知的同一性。
     通过对目前国内外城市色彩研究机构研究方法的评析,发现目前城市色彩研究方法的缺失之处在于缺少对城市主体生存感受的人文关怀,仅仅从生理的角度强调了城市色彩物理属性的和谐。因此,本研究注重的是城市主体与城市色彩间的关系存在,而不仅仅拘泥于城市色彩视觉效果的调和。
     本研究较其他城市色彩研究机构所处的视角不同,本文中的城市色彩是指广义的城市色彩,即宏观的、整体的城市空间色彩,是城市主体在时间和空间上阶段性所感知的城市色彩意象,而不是其他城市色彩研究机构所强调的狭义的城市色彩,即时间和空间中的某一点所感知的城市色彩。
     本课题为跨学科研究,站在哲学的高度,综合实证主义、人本主义、符号学、现象学、审美主义和存在主义等理论,运用艺术设计的方法来对城市色彩形象识别设计进行了系统的研究,为了使城市主体实现艺术化生存,使城市色彩形象凸显地域化特色,本课题利用科学分析的手段作为城市色彩设计的考量,将城市主体的精神理念作为城市色彩设计的创意之源,构建了系统完整、形神兼备的城市色彩形象识别体系,并提出了切实可行的解决方法:包括城市主题文化的评估体系、城市理念的定位原则、城市精神转换为城市色彩意象的方法、城市概念色谱确立的手段、以及城市色彩实施管控的操作流程,并附以了实际操作的案例说明。
     本研究的意义在于塑造良好的城市色彩形象,营造城市色彩独特的场所精神,求得城市主体对城市空间色彩的识别(认同),传达城市与自然合谐共生的理性文明存在,构建城市共同体的理想家园,以期实现城市发展的真正目标--“诗意的栖居”。
Urban color plays an irreplaceable role in shaping the image of a city. In the context of the mega-trend of globalization and rapid urbanization, employing color to express a city's regional culture and highlight a city's unique quality is an important approach to promoting a city's development in its uniqueness. Currently, as far as the urban color in China is concerned, there is a tendency of all cities losing their regional unique features for the homogenization of urban colors; on the other hand, cities are polluted by colors as colors are used willfully in an unregulated and unplanned fashion. Urban color is now a pressing matter of strategic significance in that it is directly related to the improvement of our living environment and the ultimate goal of our urbanization-poetic dwelling. But regretfully there lacks a systematic urban color design approach in China to tackle this urgent problem.
     A city has strong regional uniqueness and culture. As science develops and one-dimensional economic man emerges, the city has embarked on a strayed path where material civilization is measured as the human being's progress. The subjects of the city feel more and more intensely the loss of identity, the erosion of personality, and the depletion of spirit. As economy and technology has the fundamental characteristics of challenging-forth, setting-upon, and calculating, it makes people judge and negate all the time in the process of satisfying their vanity and selfish desire, so that they can never get peace in their souls. People hope to relieve from the pressures of the city's cultural and physical environments and live a relatively free life after the subsistence supported by "necessities".
     The ideal state of existence is that where the subjects of the city can realize themselves. Only at that state can the subjects of the city recover their identities and reveal the goodness and purity in their nature. Therefore, the goal of urban color design is to realize the humanistic care to the subjects of the city, help them to dwell poetically in the city, and return to the true self of human beings.
     This dissertation analyzes the state and features of the subjects' existence of the city, and deduces that "poetic dwelling" is the ultimate goal of the city's development. Subsequently, this paper posits that the soul of the subjects of a city is the fundamentals of the study on urban color, through analyzing the aesthetic feeling of the subjects' poetic dwelling (artistic existence) state. This dissertation innovates in the theory of urban image system, focusing on the research on the recognition of urban color, systematically studying the features of image recognition, the condition of the generation of image recognition and the generation mode. The historical and cultural structure of a city has its unchangeable personalized elements, of which the idea of goodness and purity is the key to forging a city's unique urban color. The ideal urban color is one of the paths leading the subjects of the city to the revelation of their spiritual concepts of goodness and purity. With this idea, this paper deduces that the designing principle of urban color image is the identity of collective subconscious spirit of the subjects of the city and the aesthetic feeling of the urban color.
     Different from the perspectives of other institutes'urban color study, urban color in this dissertation is used in its general sense, i.e., the spatial color on the macro level in its entirety, which refers to the urban color of a historical stage along the time axis, but does not limit to the urban color of a point in time or space. Reviewing the research approaches to urban color adopted by various institutes at home and abroad, this paper finds that the deficiencies of present urban color research lie in the lack of humanistic care for the subjects of the city, and the only emphasis on the harmony of the physical properties of urban color. Therefore, this paper puts a stress on the relationship between the subjects of the city and the urban color, and strives to avoid the limitation of sticking to the coordination of the visual effects of colors used in a city.
     This is an inter-disciplinary research which draws on theories, such as positivism, humanism, semiotics, phenomenology, aestheticism, and existentialism, studies systematically the urban color image from the perspective of art design. In order for the subjects of the city to realize artistic existence and enable the city to present its local cultural features, this dissertation constructs a complete system of urban color designing. Employing scientific analysis to explore the design of urban color, takes the spiritual concepts of the subjects of the city as the idea source of urban color design, and proposes a viable solution, which includes an evaluation system of the thematic culture of a city, the determining principle for the concepts of a city, the approaches to transforming city spiritual concepts into urban color image, the means of determining the conceptual color spectrum for a city, and the procedure of regulating urban color as well as actual cases for demonstrative purpose.
     This dissertation is meant to build a theory to foster good urban color image, develop unique locality spirit for the city, seek the city subjects'identification with the urban space, communicate the city's unique rational civilization of harmonious existence of human and the nature, and build an ideal home for the city community, thereby realizing the real goal of city development-"poetic dwelling"
