摘要

•Arrested salt wedges are accurately simulated by means of multi-layer SWLBM.•Interlayer friction terms and suitable boundary conditions are formulated.•1D analytical solutions are remarkably well reproduced by the model.•2D features of more complex reference solutions are well captured.
