WT8820 Windows终端的设计及其研制

摘要
本文对Thin-Client/Server网络体系中的基于Windows 2000 Server/Advance Server系列服务器的新型终端——Windows终端(WBT,Windows-base Terminal,又称视窗终端)进行了全面地阐述。首先,讲述了Windows终端的产生、发展和现状,并指出了现有的Windows终端存在串口数量较少、输出电平单一、不能满足用户需求的不足之处;接着,针对这一现状提出了具有4个串口的WT8820 Windows终端;然后,分别介绍了Windows终端的网络、硬件体系和软件体系;其后,提出了WT8820 Windows终端的设计思想、性能指标和大致的硬件研制过程,简要介绍了用ORCAD Capture进行硬件原理图设计和用PADS PowerPCB进行印制板布线设计,从硬件角度讲述了WT8820的工作原理;最后,通过实验对WT8820进行了详细而又全面地测试。实验主要对WT8820进行了主板功能测试、网络连通性测试和网络功能与软件测试,其中,在主板功能测试中详细地验证了WT8820的四个串口的输出电压、串口数据的发送/接受和带RS232/TTL电平串口设备的能力。试验结果表明WT8820的研制是成功的,通过对WT8820 Windows终端的研制,解决了现有Windows终端存在的不足之处,满足了用户对串口的需求,同时也丰富了Windows终端的产品类型,是一款性能优越的Windows终端。
A new terminal-Windows-based Terminal(WBT) ,Which is based on the
    Server of Windows 2000 Server/Advanced Server in Thin-Client/Server network system, are roundly described. At first, the origin, development and actuality of WBT are narrated, and the insufficiencies of serial port are pointed out. Then, WT8820, which is a WBT with four serial ports, is put forward according to the insufficiencies. In succession, the network, hardware system and software system are introduced. And the design proposal, performance of the WT8820 and the rough design steps are put forward. Drawing the schematic circuit diagram with ORCAD Capture and designing the pcb with PADS PowerPCB are briefly introduced. The working principles are described and machine is roundly tested in details. In experiment, the functions of the mainboard and the machine in network are tested. The output voltage, transmitting/receiving data, and the ability to drive device of the WT8820's serial ports are verified. The results indicate that the design is successful. WT8820 settles the problems of existing WBT and caters to the users, it also adds the diversity of WBT. In a ward, WT8820 is a well performance terminal machine.
