The Buqu Formation of the South Qiangtang Basin is widely distributed. They are grey-grey black clastic limestone, psammitic clastic limestone, micrite and argillaceous limestone in lithologic character. There are oosparmicrite, grain dolomitite, reef limestone in the central part of Buqu Formation, the ancient oil and gas accumulation distribution area, in which are Brechiopoda, bivalve, ammonites fossils; the age is the Bathonian of the Middle Jurassic, it belongs to foreshore littoral environment – salt lagoon stillwater environment in sedimental environment.
