Based on the characteristics of volcanic rock, this paper discusses the logging response characteristics of different volcanic lithologies through the use of core wafer, drilling data, log data and well logging data. Corresponding relationships among volcanic lithology and conventional logging, elemental capture spectroscopy logging as well as electrical imaging logging have been established. The paper summarizes a set of methods that are fit for the identification of deep volcanic lithology for No.5 structure in Nanpu Sag, which provides a reference for the accurate calculation of reservoir parameter.
