Combined with the field geologic investigation, and the detailed interpretation of seismic, MT and other geophysical information, the fault system has been constructed in the southeastern Tarim Basin. The cenozoic fault system of southeastern Tarim Basin can be divided into three systems: the Altun fault system, Che’erchen fault system and the West Kunlun fault system. The Altun fault system is dominated by NW trending thrust which is accompanied by strike-slip. The Che’erchen fault system was composed of a series of secondary fault and thrust faults, which characterizes the northwestward thrust and the sinistral strike-slip. The West Kunlun fault system mainly consists of thrust faults which thrust from south to north.
