With contrast to drilling, geophysical technique is characterized by rapid, continuous measurement of the advantages of facilities, and lower costs. It was used for most of the geological disaster survey to deal with emergency and assess and obtained good results. This paper listed the typical example of the geophysical prospecting in geological hazards for many yours in Shanghai. The inherent potential of geophysical technique was analyzed, combining with the rescue of the requirement for geophysical work, exploring the direction of development of the geophysical engineering in the future exploration of geological disasters in Shanghai.
