Study on Mechanical Rules of Double-Lining in Creeping Surrounding Rock

In order to analyze the mechanical rules of double-lining in creeping surrounding rock tunnel, a finite element model is established based on the finite element program ANSYS. Using generalized Kelvin constitutive relation, the mechanical rules of double-lining are analyzed when secondary lining is applied at different support time or different stiffness. The analysis results indicate that the stress of secondary lining increases gradually, and then tends to be stable when it is applied at different support time. The stress of primary support and secondary lining are opposited following the secondary support time. According to the analysis of Yuntengling tunnel, the best supporting time of secondary lining for this tunnel is fortieth day after excavation. Moreover, through monitoring analysis of this tunnel, time vs. the stress curve of secondary lining is consistent with the finite element analysis results.
