le="MARGIN: 0cm 0cm 0pt" class=MsoNormal> To promote the prevention and treatment of dangerous rock-masses and the reconstruction after the May 12th Earthquake. le="mso-spacerun: yes"> As a case, the dangerous rock-masses in Maliu Gully, Qingchuan, are studied in terms of topography, geological structure and deformation characteristics. And their stability is analyzed, based on the qualitative field investigations and the quantitative limit-equilibrium studies. The results show that the masses resulted from pressure-induced creep-crack with the dumping type in the main and only one unstable of the three.
