In this paper, the authors confirm the age of the Rodinia continent breakup in Eastern Kunlun outcrop. By geochemistry and LA-ICP-MS, the formation environment of the blasto-gabbro was distinguished and the age of the zircons from the blasto-gabbro was yielded. The geochemical study of the blasto-gabrro reveals that they are enriched in the large-iron-lithophile elements (LILE), and slightly depleted in LREE and HSFE (such as Nb and Ta), which obviously suggest that the rock formed in rift. Using LA-ICP-MS method of U-Pb age dating, it is the (796±41) Ma (MSWD=0.47) that represents the crystallized age of the blasto-gabrro. The age of the Rodinia continent breakup in Eastern Kunlun outcrop is (796±41) Ma (MSWD=0.47).
