Paleozoic Crustal Evolution and Mineralization of the Northern Beishan in Gansu Province

摘要

There are two main plate tectonics systems and orogenic process in north part of Beishan. The existence of Paleozoic oceanic crust residual ophiolite in Shaquanzi-Mingshui-Xiaohuangshan is the evidence of subduction zone. During Early Devonian, the plates collided, and formed collisional orogney, while many metallic deposits were formed. Late Palaeozoic, subduction zone fell back to the north, leading Jueluotage-Dananshan-Yuanbaoshan to be formed an island-arc accretionary zone in the north to which is middle-east sub-ocean. During Late Carboniferous, subduction occurred at Kangguertage-Huangshan, while Kazakhstan-Zhungeer and Tarim Plate joined and collided orogenesis, when the typical deposits were formed.
