This paper deals with the dynamic sources responsible for tremendous changes of the lithosphere in East China. It seems that the flow of mantle caused by Rayleigh-Taylor instability is the main tectonic force. As Rayleigh-Taylor instability exists only in intermediate continent, mushroom cloud mantle can occur only in such intermediate continents as East China.
