摘要
Interpretation of fault is always an important content in geological formation study,especially ascertainments of fault attitude.In this paper,we propose a quantitative method to interpret fault,which uses the horizontal and vertical derivatives of gravity anomaly to calculate fault parameters instead of calculation of higher order derivatives.The proposed method is demonstrated on synthetic data,and the error between the inversion results and theoretical parameters is very small,so this method can be applied to interpret real fault,but not comfortable for the vertical fault.We applied this method to real gravity data in Sichuan Basin,and the inversion results are consistent with the fault parameters given by the seismic data.
