According to the drilling records,this paper analyzes the normal rock thin sections,casting thin sections,SEM,porosity-permeability characteristics and pressure mercury testing results and studies the reservoir characteristics of the upper and lower subsegments of Member 8 of Shihezi Formation in the Gaoqiao-Xinghe area.The results show that the rock types of Member 8 of the Shihezi Formation reservoir are mainly medium-coarse quartz sandstone,pure quartz sandstone,and lithic quartz sandstone,then,litharenite. The conventional physical property and pore structure show that Member 8 of the Shihezi Formation reservoir is of low porosity and low permeability, and even ultra-low porosity and ultra-low permeability. There are also some well areas and reservoir intervals with relatively better reservoir physical property.
