Xinjiang is one of the provinces which chromite metallogenic condition is superior and the distribution of resources is rich, distribution is relatively concentrated in west Junggar area, east Junggar, east Tianshan Mountains and west Kunlun also sporadic exposed, it is mainly controlled by Tethys and Ancient Asia subduction complex rock zone or ophiolitic melanges belt,such as Tanggubale-Kalamaili subduction hyperplasia complex rock zone,jianquan ophiolitic mélange belt, Kudi-Qimanyute ophiolitic melange belt,kylite-dunite is the mainly Occurrence lithofacies zone of Mafic-ultramafic chromite.Our country is a great Chromite importer, so it＇s time to develop a new round of chromite prospecting in Xinjiang.
