Based on high resolution sequence stratigraphy, core observation and analytical data, the provenance of Lower Cretaceous Yingeheng Formation in Lishu Faulted Depression of southern Songliao Basin is estimated according to the mineral content of sedimentaty rocks, ZTR index of heavy mineral, the sandstone percent and color distribution of mudstone. The results show that the provenance of Yingcheng Formation changes with time, but the change is small at the early, middle and late stages. At this time, the sediments of Yingcheng Formation are mainly derived from the northern, northwestern and eastern provenance. In the early time of Yingcheng Formation, the eastern provenance is the main source. Due to the weakening of the eastern provenance, the southeastern provenance is the main source at the middle stage. At the late stage, the entire of the provenance migrates to west. The northern provenance supplies sources in the whole period of Yingcheng Formation.
