Active faults, as a geological term, have been put forward in the early 20th century. It has been studied now. The scientific evaluation and reasonable analysis on active faults have an important practical significance for construction and urban planning. This paper describes the present research status at home and abroad about active faults, and this study has laid a foundation for further research about active faults and achieves its quantitative research.
