     This paper deals with reservoir characteristics and control factors of the Middle Jurassic Lianggaoshan Formation and Lower Shaximiao Formation based on lithologic characteristics, micro-area and experimental analysis of samples from outcrops and drilling cores in the central Sichuan basin. The reservoir was controlled by sedimentary facies, source direction, diagenesis, denudation, tectonic disruption and so on. Diagenesis such as compaction, pressure solution, cementation and replacement are disadvantages for the reservoir.
