     This paper introduces the work principle of groundwater source heat pump system,the suitable areas for groundwater source heat pump in Changchun City are Determined according to the hydrogeologic conditions of Changchun City groundwater.Reservoir capacity is calculated by used ＂ratio method＂ for the suitable areas and it come to conclusion that the groundwater source heat pump can supply heating potency for 16,000,000 m2 in winter.The application status and problems of the groundwater source heat pump in Changchun city are also discussed at present and proposed recommendations to develop.
