At present, the technologies of GPS, Mapource, MapGIS, Excel and so on have been widely applied in the geological work. This paper grasps the GPS coordinates data transformation and the reorganization through the elaboration by Mapource and Excel. To use the MapGIS geography analysis system in spatial analysis model subsystem, the projection transformation model subsystem and the input edit sub-model system realize the searching point automatic labeling and automatic sorting of geochemical anomaly. MapGIS application in the geological work is developed with the convenient performance for geologists in the field, the reduction of the man-made error and high efficiency.
