Rock foundation can be treated as homogeneous for general buildings for its high strength and high subgrade bearing capacity. This paper evaluates the homogeneousness of rock foundation in the aspects of the homogeneousness of topography and geomorphology, geological structure, wave characteristic, subgrade bearing capacity, and foundation settlement, combined with predicting the strength of rock foundation through Hoek-Brown Rule.
