Amplified spontaneous emission is observed from the orthorhombic and tetragonal phases of the solution-grown bulk CH₃NH₃PbI₃ single crystals under simultaneous two- and three-photon excitations over a range of operation temperature. The nonlinear optical properties of the crystal are also investigated by measuring the two- and three-photon absorption coefficients of the bulk crystals at room-temperature using the Z-scan technology.
