A sulfur-bridged inorganic macrocycle and a room tem
perature singlet biradicaloid dianion have been isolated in the Wurtz reduction of a mixture of
cis- and
trans-dichloro
phos
ph(V)azane. It a
ppears that these
products from the same reaction are the outcome of two different reduction
pathways. This a
pproach may facilitate the discovery of new ty
pes of inorganic macrocycles and new
polymeric assemblies similar to those observed in this work. More information can be found in the Full Pa
