Nonlinear stress relaxation behavior of polymer glasses studied experimentally.
Correlation between the strain rate and rate of stress relaxation is demonstrated.
Rate of the stress relaxation is found to be linearly proportional to the deformation rate for different polymer glasses.
Long lasting molecular mobility is plausibly due to chain tension in load-bearing strands (LBSs) of the chain network.
