Honeycomb-like MnO2 nanospheres serve as a scaffold for polyaniline.

Polyaniline act as a protective coating layer to restrain MnO2 nanospheres from dissolution in acidic electrolyte.

The obtained composite exhibits a high capacitance of 565 F g−1 (specific capacity of 126 mAh g−1) at the current density of 0.8 A g−1 in 0.5 M Na2SO4-0.5 M H2SO4 solution.
