ITO-free, efficient, and inverted phosphorescent organic light-emitting diodes using a WO3/Ag/WO3 multilayer electrode

We demonstrated an efficient, ITO-free, and inverted green phosphorescent organic light-emitting diodes (PHOLEDs).

The PHOLED exhibited a maximum luminance of 280,000 cd/m2 at 8 V.

The current efficiency of 81.4 cd/A and external quantum efficiency of 22.4% of PHOLED were achieved.

The WAW showed the sheet resistance of 3.5 Ω/sq and the optical transmittance of ∼80% in visible range.

The interface barrier of WAW/BPhen:CS2CO3 is 0.048 eV by electrical characterization.
