A facile and label-free new fluorescent approach of sensing bisphenol A was successfully developed based on MIP-coated CDs nanocomposite.

The MIP matrix coated carbon dots were fabricated by in situ hydrothermal synthesis.

The new fluorescent biosensor incorporates the fluorescent property of CDs and high selectivity of MIP.

The strategy of MIP-coated CDs composite as a novel fluorescent biosensor paves a new way to improve the performance for fluorescent sensors.
