H2SiO3 is used as a remover to react with lithium residues on LiNi0.6Co0.2Mn0.2O2 surface.

A surface coating layer of Li+-conductive Li2Si2O5 is formed.

Coating layer improves the velocity of Li+ migration on electrode surface.

Erosion from the HF and CO2 on electrode is greatly suppressed.
