Keyhole exit deviation distance behavior is proposed to indicate the weld pool thermal state changing in PAW.
Keyhole exit deviation distance varies faster and by much larger amplitudes than the keyhole dimensional parameters when the weld pool thermal state is changing.
Changing the thermal state of the weld pool will increase or decrease the melting behavior of the leading keyhole wall, and push the keyhole exit decrease or increase the deviation distance.
