Novel g-C3N4/SiC composite was prepared by synthesizing g-C3N4 on the surface of SiC.

g-C3N4/SiC composites exhibit much higher H2 production activity than pure g-C3N4.

The g-C3N4/SiC heterojunction mainly accounts for improved photocatalytic activity.
